The UK film council

Thanks for the walkthrough/talkthrough guys, so to answer my question, I DO need to host it from my site.

The strings were:

X number of X type of character.

X person directing.

X person producing.

X person to rewrite the script so make it a [insert whatever] rated film.

As an edit. Simone Bendix is hot, but the show was terrible.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">This happened about a year ago. Local production companies also had to apply for the scheme. The ones that were picked were allocated to a production, and they were all independent. Local directors were handpicked and also assigned a film.

Did you just write that project or were you involved in the crew?
I assume from the message that the filmcouncil owns the rights to your work. Does that mean you couldn't send it to festivals and stuff yourself?
I was about to apply to the one here in the south so i'm quite interested in how it all works as well

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I did just write the film, and I was paid as a writer and the rights do belong to the Film Council. I could invest my own money and send the film to festivals, but I can't afford that neither do I have the experience and knowhow to choose the best ones! I must stress though that this was an advertised scheme, like a script competition- this isn't how the film council funds everything. It is worth going to your regional film council and talking to someone though, that's what they're getting paid for.

He he. Man did I hate Space Precinct, I watched an episode of that thing once and was dumbfounded. How the hell did that get on TV? The best kind of animation is, and always will be, the awesomeness of Stop-Motion. I read in the paper this morning (well I SAY paper, it was Metro) that the Skeletons from "Jason and the Argonauts" is STILL in the top ten best ever special effects ("Voted for by you, the public."). Now that's cool, I love those skeletons.

But what I really meant was that the film council wanted to put so many conditions on my film if they funded it (which they HAD agreed to do in principle) that it wouldn't have been worth making.

It was a feature with a completely immoral lead character. The Film Council nearly threw up their croissants when they read it.

While you're here. Could you answer the question I've asked about 5 times on this board? How do I put a picture in my post? Do I have to host it somewhere and then put the link in that box that pops up when I hit "image" on the reply bar?

An even quicker way is to click the 'image' button (in the hostboard markup language section) on the post a reply page (to the roght of 'instant graemlins'.
